Although it is still almost a full year away, it's never too soon to get excited for DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES. After a successful panel and presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, we now have our first still from the Matt Reeves-directed sequel to 2011's RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, and you can check it out below.

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.

DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES is scheduled to be released on July 18, 2014, and stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, Gary Oldman, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Kirk Acevedo, Toby Kebbell, Enrique Murciano and Judy Greer.
