And SIN CITY drags another dude into the dirt!

After Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Christopher Meloni were recruited in less than a 24 hour span, now comes the news that Josh Brolin, fresh off a drunken NYE bash, has been cast in SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR. Brolin (seen right) was mentioned but not confirmed in the two briefs about JGL and Meloni, but now it’s been verified.

In fact, Brolin will play Dwight, one of the favorite characters from Frank Miller’s books and the 2005 film. In SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR, Dwight is hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord, and then watches his life go straight to hell. Chronologically, this story takes place prior to “The Big Fat Kill” (featured in the film FRANK MILLER’S SIN CITY) and explains how Dwight came to have a dramatically different face.

About the hire, Rodriguez and Miller said:

“Dwight is a constant character throughout the Sin City world and “A Dame To Kill For” is a defining episode in his life. We’re looking forward to Josh’s take on Dwight.”

As you know, Mickey Rourke, Clive Owen, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Jessica Alba, Alexa Vega, Dennis Haysbert, Jamie King and Jamie Chung (below) also star in A DAME TO KILL FOR, which opens October 4th.
