Tony Scott commits suicide…

TONY SCOTT (brother of RIDLEY SCOTT) was one of my top directors. Some of my favorite movies of his would have to be:

The Hunger (1983), Top Gun (1986), Revenge (1990) Days of Thunder (1990) The Last Boy Scout (1991) True Romance (1993) Crimson Tide (1995), Man on Fire (2004) and I do have a soft spot for Déjà Vu (2006).

He was one of the first to bring music video-ish aesthetics to the big screen and his name tagged to a picture usually meant fun, freaking times! So it is with sadness and bewilderment that we are reporting that Mr. Scott jumped off an L.A. bridge (Vincent Thomas Bridge) to his death. A contact list (of people to notify) was found in his car and letters to his family (explaining why he did what he did) were found in his office.

More details to come I am sure. Till then our condolences go out to Mr. Scott’s loved ones and family.

Hollywood has lost one of its greats. RIP TONY SCOTT…
