Say what you will about the trampled novelty of Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego’s APOLLO 18 (found-footage), or the fact the film’s release has been pushed back a time or two – these last few posters we’ve seen for the moon-set horror show are pretty damn cool. Check it, the new one below is no exception!
Now landing in theaters September 2nd, APOLLO 18 goes like this:
Officially, Apollo 17 – launched December 17th, 1972 – was the last manned mission to the moon. But a year later, in December of 1973, two American astronauts were sent on a secret mission to the moon funded by the US Department of Defense. What you are about to see is the actual footage that the astronauts captured on that mission. While NASA denies its authenticity, others say it’s the real reason we’ve never gone back to the moon.
A single actor – Erica Caroll – was credited on the film’s IMDB page. It’s since been removed (you know, to enhance the whole “it’s real footage” farce).
