Dominic James is currently hard at work fine tuning and priming his latest script and directorial debut DIE. Yes, DIE. The title actually explains a lot more as it refers to an insane amount of bloodshed where people eventually do cease to exist and a twisted version of Craps. Interested? Read on.

Here is a synopsis that details what exactly is going on and while you’re at it pay close attention to the originality of the themes that are being touched: Six people, each of them is on the road to self-destruction. They wake up in cells in a surreal facility, without knowing how they got there or why. Are they in denial? Are they crazy? What happened? As they try to figure things out, a mysterious man forces the six abductees to participate in a disturbing experiment call the Trials. During the experiment, the unwilling participants will come to face disturbing truths about themselves and decide each other’s fate in a nerve racking game of dice. As the storyline unfolds, we also soon discover that something greater connects them all.

DIE is being distributed by Les Films Séville and was written by Nick Mead and Domenico Salvaggio. The film’s cast line up includes John Pyper Ferguson (X-MEN: THE LAST STAND), Emily Hampshire (THE CRADLE), Caterina Murino (CASINO ROYALE), Fabio Fulco (BETWEEN LAND AND SKY), Katie Boland, Karl Pruner (FLASH OF GENIUS) and Elias Koteas (LET ME IN, SHUTTER ISLAND, THE FOURTH KIND). Sounds like a strong cast if I ever heard one. I’m actually pretty stoked that Koteas is also in the flick. He’s done a few variations of work that became great preformances. Maybe this film isn’t going to be another Saw knock-off with the salvation and what-not. We’ll just have to see for ourselves when footage of the film swings by our way. Catch DIE later on this year.
