Directed by Christian Alvart
Run Time: 1 hr. 48 min.
When two men emerge from a deep sleep in the middle of space, they discover that they have no memories of who they are and where they’re going. But their memory loss pales in comparison to the problem of the murderous warriors on board their ship who don’t want to leave anyone alive.
SURROGATES
Rated: PG-13 for intense sequences of violence, disturbing images, language, sexuality and a drug-related scene.
Starring Bruce Willis, Radha Mitchell, Rosamund Pike, Boris Kodjoe, James Francis Ginty
Directed by Jonathan Mostow
Run Time: 1 hr. 44 min.
People are living their lives remotely from the safety of their own homes via robotic surrogates — sexy, physically perfect mechanical representations of themselves. It’s an ideal world where crime, pain, fear and consequences don’t exist. When the first murder in years jolts this utopia, FBI agent Greer discovers a vast conspiracy behind the surrogate phenomenon and must abandon his own surrogate, risking his life to unravel the mystery.
PARANORMAL ACTIVITY
Rated: R for language.
Starring no one you know
Directed by Oren Peli
Run Time: 1 hr. 39 min.
After a young, middle class couple moves into what seems like a typical suburban “starter” tract house, they become increasingly disturbed by a presence that may or may not be demonic, but is certainly most active in the middle of the night. Especially when they sleep. Or try to.
