Attention everyone! Hide your bongo drums! Lock up your daughters! Eat all your gingerbread! Because Busey Is Back! That’s right, the whacked-out psycho/genius who once fought Mel Gibson on a front lawn under the raining geyser of a broken fire hydrant is returning to our genre with his most insane adventure to date! The flick is called 1.8 DAYS and, get this, it’s being touted as a comedy, action, martial arts, horror, thriller! Could we have the next SNAKES ON A PLANE? Well, have a look at the simplistic plotline:
Two hustlers, their ex-fiancé, a ruthless crime boss, and a bounty hunter, all intent on killing each other, suddenly find themselves in the middle of an “invasion.” The lifelong enemies must band together to defeat the (what the hell are they!?). They just have to stop fighting each other long enough to survive.
Sounds fun enough. And having Busey as one of the any of those roles (even the fiancé) is most definitely a plus! I mean, I’m sure the man has already tried to kill tons of people in real life (possibly just in his head). 1.8 DAYS was written and directed by Chuck Fallaw who is aiming for a Halloween 2009 release. 1.8 DAYS also stars Toby Sells and Collective Soul bassist Will Turpin. I think I’m going to keep my eyes out for this one… unless Busey tries to poke ’em out!
