‘Rahr, I’m a monsta!’

Remember AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON? Paul Davis of Horror Hound does, and is in the process of making his own documentary commemorating the film. “Beware the Moon: Remembering AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON” promises to be one of the most comprehensive looks at the movie most consider to be the best werewolf film ever created (I don’t, but then again, we’re a long way from Lon Chaney, here).

Shooting is expected to start up on March 8th at the London Zoo with a setup inside the actual Slaughtered Lamb on the 11th (sorry, New Yorkers, it’s not the one in New York). So far, Davis has been able to get interviews with actors John Woodvine (Dr. Hirsch) and Brenda Cavendish (victim Judith Brown), with the more significant actors from the film (namely David Naughton, Griffin Dunne and Jenny Agutter) still in talks.

For those wondering, yes, even director John Landis is chatting with the Davis to make the doc even more special. And hey, if this ends up warranting another dip in the DVD bin by Universal (complete with the goodies from the last go-round), why not?)

Hit up the doc’s MySpace page for more info.
