With all the awards, official selections and the like, it was only a matter of time that Simon Rumley’s THE LIVING AND THE DEAD was picked up for distribution, which it has, courtesy of the folks at Imagination Worldwide.
Also, the film will screen at the upcoming 2007 European Film Market in Berlin, adding another credit to the film, which has been screened at 16 international film festivals so far. The film, which stars Roger Lloyd Pack as ex-Lord Donald Brocklebank, centres on Brocklebank being forced to sell the sprawling mansion he lives in with his wife and schizophrenic son. Lady Nancy Brocklebank (Kate Fahy) has taken seriously ill and frantic shut-in James (Leo Bill of 28 DAYS LATER) would like nothing more than to prove to his father that he is a responsible adult.
In a misguided attempt to do so, James’ own mental condition worsens and his ability to care for his mother diminishes along with his ability to tell fantasy from reality in this stylish and terrifying descent into madness…
