Cohen does Mummy 3?

Hoping to rebound after the disaster that was STEALTH, according to TMZ.com, Rob Cohen is in final negotiations to direct (possibly) Brendan Fraser and company in the third installment of THE MUMMY series.

Honestly, to me, I fail to see why Universal is going ahead with the film, since the sole reason (in my opinion) why the sequel to the first film did so well was because of The Rock, and THE SCORPION KING didn’t exactly light the box office on fire, either. Still, it just shows you what state the movie industry is in these days.
