While I never saw the original CHILDREN SHOULDN’T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS (even though it is Bob Clark’s first film, before BLACK CHRISTMAS, even), that hasn’t stopped Bob Clark from setting plans in motion to remake his own 1972 zombie mash-up.
Today, Bloody-Disgusting snagged news from Clark himself about the project, as well as news on the DEATHDREAM remake, which was previously reported by Clark to be helmed by Eli Roth, but Clark was wrong on that one (don’t think too hard on that), as a source close to the production (which is now titled ZERO DARK THIRTY, courtesy of the remake’s writer, Stephen Susco) has news that John Stalberg Jr. is attached to direct. Yes, the guy who directed (and wrote) MR. DRAMATIC. My head hurts.
As for the CHILDREN remake, the full interview with Clark is expected sometime next week, but until then, head here to find out just why Clark has decided to remake his own film.
