Mike Mendez dropped the Dread Central dudes a line today with regards to the GRAVEDANCERS DVD, which Lionsgate will release in March. Turns out that the 2-disc edition released in Holland (complete with cool Steelbook packaging), is anything but cool, as other than the packaging, the only features for the set are the pan & scan and widescreen transfers! What a gyp!
The good news is that Mendez is planning a lot more for the North American release, though Lionsgate has the final say as to what goes in the set. Mendez states that he has personally done “two behind-the-scenes documentaries, nine deleted scenes, a commentary, stills, storyboards, and a bunch of other goodies.” Needless to say, Lionsgate has a no brainer on their hands (if they’re smart). Look for more info as the release date approaches.
