For Brian Yuzna fans patiently waiting (or impatiently, depending on your disposition) for HOUSE OF RE-ANIMATOR, over at Italian website Eyes On Film, they’ve posted a new interview with the RE-ANIMATOR producer.
In the lengthy interview, Yuzna discusses topics such as his tenure with Filmax’s Fantastic Factory, his new production company (Halcyon International Pictures), his almost-greenlit projects of the past, new projects, and most notably new stuff on HOUSE OF RE-ANIMATOR.
Firstly, William H. Macy is still interested in playing the president in the film, which Yuzna says he is a little uneasy about it being a satire of the current administration. “Basing an horror movie too clearly on current events can have the effect of making the movie out-of-date as soon as it is finished.” A good point to bring up, but then again there’s always that ‘classic’ title that comes up every once in a while that negates the anachronisms (if you can call them that).
