I often picture Stephen King in the
same likeness that I picture Scrooge McDuck; swimming in a huge pile of money,
and I’ll tell you why.
Once again a Stephen King book, this time a book co-penned by Peter Straub, will
morph off the pages of a best-seller and appear on the TNT network. Which story
you ask? Well THE TALISMAN of course.
The book which was published in 1984 has been in movie-making limbo for some
time, with all sorts of names attached at various times, but it has finally
found a place to rest in the hands of writer Ethan Kruger. Oh and some guy named
Steven Spielberg will be the executive producer.
THE TALISMAN is about a young boy
named Jack Sawyer who travels between this world and another in search for a
mystical talisman that will save his mothers life.
