This is a sad day for
EVIL DEAD fans everywhere.
Rumor (click
here ) has it that Sam Raimi is next in line to
direct the LOTR prequel THE HOBBIT because super-slob Peter Jackson has dropped
out. And this is possibly the worst news to ever hit my ears.
For one reason or another, these LOTR movies destroy the horror genes inside
directors, and cause them to want nothing more than to build huge epic movies.
Jackson was a great horror director.
BAD TASTE, DEAD-ALIVE (or BRAINDEAD depending on where you’re from),
and THE FRIGHTENERS are all solid horror flicks. And than LOTR comes
around and destroys everything about him that is horror.
Well we already lost Jackson, I refuse to lose Raimi as well! How can the man
who built his career on the backs of B-horror films abandoned all of us for a
f**king hobbit?
I say we start the mailing now, and stop this before it starts! Who’s with me!!
