Warner Bros. Pictures and Seven Bucks have debuted an official DC League of Super-Pets trailer that’s packed with plenty of four-legged fun for the whole family. In DC League of Super-Pets, Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis side by side. When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a rag-tag shelter pack—Ace the hound, PB the potbellied pig, Merton the turtle, and Chip the squirrel—to master their newfound powers and help him rescue the superheroes.

Making his feature directorial debut for DC League of Super-Pets is veteran writer/consultant on the LEGO movies Jared Stern. He directs from a screenplay he wrote with frequent collaborator John Whittington. Patricia Hicks, Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, and Jared Stern produce. The executive producers are John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, Nicholas Stoller, Allison Abbate, Chris Leahy, Sharon Taylor, and Courtenay Valenti.

The new DC League of Super-Pets trailer teases lots of animated antics from the Super-Pets as well as our first taste of John Krasinski as the voice of Superman. Krasinski confirmed his role for the new film via Twitter on Tuesday. Additionally, fans of the Super-Pets will notice that a character that looks like Kara Danvers’ cat, Streaky, makes an appearance toward the close of the trailer. In the pages of DC Comics, Streaky holds a grudge against Krypto despite having a crush on him.

DC League of Super-Pets will be released by Warner Bros. Pictures in theaters internationally beginning May 18, 2022, and in North America on May 20, 2022.
