The mystery limited series A Murder at the End of the World (read our review HERE) is set to premiere with two episodes on November 14th on FX, and with just a few days to go until that date arrives we have gotten our hands on a new trailer for the show. You can check it out in the embed above.

Created and directed by Brit Marling with Zal Batmanglij, the duo that previously brought us The OA, this limited series sees Emma Corrin of The Crown and My Policeman taking on the role of a Gen Z amateur sleuth and hacker named Darby Hart. Darby is one of several guests invited to a retreat by a reclusive billionaire. When one of the other guests is found dead, Darby uses all of her skills to prove it was murder against a tide of competing interests and before the killer takes another life.

Corrin is joined in the cast by Clive Owen (Children of Men), Harris Dickinson (Where the Crawdads Sing), Brit Marling (Sound of My Voice), Alice Braga (Queen of the South), Joan Chen (The Last Emperor), Raúl Esparza (Hannibal), Jermaine Fowler (Coming 2 America), Ryan J. Haddad (The Politician), Pegah Ferydoni (The Last Berliner), Javed Khan (Lapwing), Louis Cancelmi (Please Be Normal), Edoardo Ballerini (Malevolent), Britian Seibert (The Knick), Christopher Gurr (The Good Fight), Kellan Tetlow (This Is Us), Daniel Olson (The Blacklist), and Neal Huff (Spotlight).

A Murder at the End of the World was primarily filmed in Iceland, but there was also some additional shooting in Utah and New Jersey. Marling and Batmanglij executive produced the series with Andrea Sperling, Melanie Marnich, and Nicki Paluga. The co-creators also split directing duties on the show’s seven episodes; Marling directed three episodes and Batmanglij took the helm of the other four.

JoBlo’s own Alex Maidy gave A Murder at the End of the World an 8/10, describing it as “a solid mystery that eclipses its flaws by showcasing a great ensemble led by the consistently brilliant Emma Corrin.”
