While James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU is off to the races in cinemas, LEGO and Warner Bros. Games are excited to honor Batman‘s cinematic history with a brand-new game inspired by the Dark Knight’s silver-screen adventures. Today, a launch trailer for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight swooped onto the scene, showcasing the Caped Crusader’s latest (and possibly greatest) build-a-brick rampage through Gotham City.
Who pops up in the new trailer?
Set against the backdrop of Seal’s Grammy-winning song “Kiss from a Rose” from the Batman Forever (1995) film soundtrack, the trailer features new cinematic and gameplay moments of the Caped Crusader and his crime-fighting allies – Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Jim Gordon, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul – as they take on an ever-growing threat from The Joker, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, Two-Face, Ra’s al Ghul, Bane, and other infamous DC Super-Villains in the ultimate LEGO Batman experience.

The Bat-hype is real
It’s been ages since I’ve played a LEGO game on my PlayStation 5, and I can’t think of a better way to get back into the swing of the genre than with a new LEGO Batman game inspired by many of the films I grew up loving. I can’t wait to catch all the Easter eggs, equip different Bat-suits, and fly around Gotham City while foiling nefarious plots perpetrated by villains in the Dark Knight’s rogues’ gallery. Let’s freakin’ go!
