As we’re closing in on the end of the year, and even moreso, the end of the decade, there’s a shit-ton of ‘best of’ and ‘top’ lists popping up all over the place. The Arrow gave us the TOP 10 GENRE, SEXUALLY CHARGED SCENES of the decade, and even Jim Law, under duress from all that booze he drinks, gave his top pick for favorite horror of the decade.
But how many top lists do you see featuring nothing but… beards? Not many, but the boys at Dread Central are about to put an end to that, as they put together the Top Ten Greatest Beards in Horror History! Not of the year, not of the decade, but the entire history of horror. Not an easy task, but one they stepped up and rocked with flying colors.
I immediately think of Kurt Russell as MacReady in THE THING when I think of the ultimate beard in horror, and guess what… he made their list! James Brolin’s beard in AMITYVILLE HORROR also stands out, and yes.. he made the list as well.
