So, I never played DESTINY, for a variety of reasons. There’s the price, the fact it was practically unfinished and necessitated too much DLC and patches to be worth it, it had an uninspired aesthetic, and – honestly – I just suck at shooters because I have the hand-eye coordination of a baby with Parkinson’s. So I don’t know much about the story or how it stacks up to
the original.
However, having said all that, it appears fun for what it is. It seems to have a generic story, but it looks like it allows a decent enough framework for hectic gun fights, some magic spells, and a variety of uses for cool sci-fi gadgetry. I also appreciate the emphasis on co-op multiplayer. And, not gonna lie, I’m totally down for DESTINY soccer!
