Nic Cage, Chad Michael Murray, The rapture? Oh dear…

Deadline has it that yes, the “One Tree Hill” star Michael Murray (HOUSE OF WAX, seen above) has joined Nic the Sick in LEFT BEHIND, an end of days disaster film. Yes, a remake of the lowly Kirk Cameron picture from 2001. Thing is, Cage was supposedly going to play the role of the reporter, Buck Williams (Cameron in the original). Now however, it seems Michael Murray will play Buck, with Cage’s role now unknown. He is still onboard though, says the trade.

As for the story, it finds the biblical prophecy of armgeddon begins when the Rapture instantly takes all believers in Christ from the Earth. A reporter left behind learns that the Anti-Christ will soon take power.

Faith-based horror? Frightening in theory, never really onscreen. Will LEFT BEHIND change the pattern you think?
