It's a bit of a Marvel and AVENGERS reunion with the debut trailer for Netflix's EXTRACTION, starring Chris Hemsworth.
EXTRACTION is directed by Sam Hargrave, the stunt coordinator on CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR. Penning the script is Joe Russo, one half of the brother directing team that helmed AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR & AVENGERS: ENDGAME. Russo also serves as a producer with his brother Anthony through their banner AGBO.
The movie, filmed on location in India and Thailand, folllows Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth), who is a fearless black-market mercenary with nothing left to lose. His skills are solicited to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned crime lord but in the murky underworld of weapons dealers and drug traffickers, an already deadly mission approaches the impossible as the lives of Rake and the boy he is sent to rescue are altered forever. The film also stars Rudhraksh Jaiswal, Randeep Honda, Golshifteh Farahani, Pankaj Tripathi, Priyanshu Painyuli & David Harbour.
This looks like a fun distraction that is perfect for home viewing while we're all stuck in quarantine at home. Big action with one of the industries' biggest stars with some suitable behind the scenes talent at the helm. I'm willing to give this one a shot for sure.
