Cool Videos

Say what you will about President Barack Obama's policies, but at least the guy has good taste when it comes to film and television. Last year Obama said Richard Linklater's BOYHOOD was his favorite 2014 movie, and his favorite TV show is the HBO crime drama The Wire.

The White House has released a video of President Obama interviewing The Wire creator David Simon. Obama called the show "one of the greatest, not just television shows, but pieces of art in the last couple of decades" during his conversation with Simon, and the duo also talked about the impact the drug war had on Baltimore in the early 2000s.

Even if you're not a fan of the president this is still a pretty interesting interview, and I highly recommend checking it out.

The Wire: The Complete Series will be released on Blu-ray on June 2, 2015.
