The FINAL DESTINATION movies have taught us a couple of things: Pretty much any inanimate object can kill you, typically in some creative fashion. And if you somehow evade a premature demise during your daily activities, you’ll soon meet a much more spectacularly grisly fate.

And so FINAL DESTINATION 5 gives us a whole new batch of lucky/unlucky humans who briefly escape the Reaper’s grasp before being smeared, dismembered, disintegrated or otherwise erased from reality in some Rube Goldberg-esque series of implausible mishaps. This time around, the people who will potentially be transformed into quivering fleshchunks are Nicholas D’Agosto, Emma Bell, Miles Fisher, Arlen Escarpeta, David Koechner, Ellen Wroe, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, Courtney B. Vance and Tony Todd.

Synopsis (as if necessary): “In this fifth installment, Death is just as omnipresent as ever, and is unleashed after one man’s premonition saves a group of coworkers from a terrifying suspension bridge collapse. But this group of unsuspecting souls was never supposed to survive, and, in a terrifying race against time, the ill-fated group frantically tries to discover a way to escape Death’s sinister agenda.”

The movie opens August 12th. Check out the latest trailer below!
