Writer/director Christopher Donaldson’s horror thriller Ditched is set to receive a VOD release on January 18, 2022, with a Blu-ray release to follow on February 15th. With those release dates drawing near, a trailer for the film has arrived online and you can check it out in the embed above.

Ditched has the following synopsis:

Melina, a paramedic, wakes up in an overturned ambulance with no memory of the accident. She is trapped in the woods with two prisoner medical transfers and the police escort team, and they are all desperate to escape. The group quickly discover that they are the victims of an ambush with the perpetrators hunting them down one by one.

The film stars Marika Sila (the A Traveler episode of The Twilight Zone), Mackenzie Gray (Legion), Kris Loranger (Winter Kill), and newcomer J. Lindsay Robinson.

Ditched was produced by Mark Sommer, with special effects artist Bill Terezakis serving as executive producer. Sadly, Terezakis passed away earlier this year at the age of just 55 years old. Over the course of a thirty-two year career, Terezakis racked up over 150 credits in the FX department, working on such projects as Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, Deep Rising, Thirteen Ghosts, Bones, Halloween: Resurrection, Final Destination 2, Freddy vs. Jason, Willard 2003, X-Men 2, Battlestar Galactica, Blade: Trinity, Wrong Turn 2: Dead End, Trick ‘r Treat, Reaper, The X-Files, Bates Motel, The Terror, and two of the three recent Planet of the Apes movies. Terezakis was a great contributor to genre films and TV shows, and it was sad to hear that we’ve lost him.

Ditched seems interesting to me, so I’ll probably be checking it out next year. What did you think of the trailer? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
