William and Katherine lead a devout Christian life, homesteading on the edge of an impassible wilderness, with five children. When their newborn son mysteriously vanishes and their crops fail, the family begins to turn on one another. Travel to New England in the 1630s to experience an unnerving sense of a dread with the trailer for THE WITCH!

I hate to sound like a broken record when it comes to A24, but they are just killing it when it comes to releasing genre films. From A MOST VIOLENT YEAR to WHILE WE'RE YOUNG to EX MACHINA to SLOW WEST, they're really serving up some great stories with fantastic characters, and THE WITCH looks to follow suit. There's no US release date set, but we can expect this foreboding feature to hit theaters sometime in 2016. Until then, try to keep an eye on your baby. If you don't have one, go ahead and get one, and then keep an eye on that one.

THE WITCH will open in theaters with it's creepiness in 2016.
