Last week, we shared the news that legendary horror host Elvira is teaming up with the Netflix streaming service for a series of videos that will be released through Netflix’s social media accounts (like their YouTube channel) every Sunday throughout the month of October. The idea behind these videos is that watching horror and thriller movies are good for your health, so “Dr. Elvira” will prescribe Netflix movies for you to watch every week. The first video, Stress Slashers, was released yesterday and you can check it out in the embed above.

In this video, the Netflix releases covered by Dr. Elvira include Stranger Things, The Babysitter, the Fear Street trilogy, and There’s Someone Inside Your House, which will be available to watch on Netflix as of Wednesday the 6th.

Based on a novel by Stephanie Perkins (which can be purchased at THIS LINK), There’s Someone Inside Your House was directed by Patrick Brice from a script by Henry Gayden and has the following synopsis:

Makani Young has moved from Hawaii to quiet, small-town Nebraska to live with her grandmother and finish high school, but as the countdown to graduation begins, her classmates are stalked by a killer intent on exposing their darkest secrets to the entire town, terrorizing victims while wearing a life-like mask of their own face. With a mysterious past of her own, Makani and her friends must discover the killer’s identity before they become victims themselves.

The film stars Sydney Park, Sarah Dugdale, Kayla Heller, Theodore Pellerin, Asjha Cooper, Dale Whibley, Jesse LaTourette, Burkely Duffield, and Diego Josef.

The Dr. Elvira videos help promote Netflix’s “Netflix & Chills” programming line-up. To learn more about the films and shows Netflix will be releasing this month, click HERE.

Elvira recently hosted the Elvira’s 40th Anniversary, Very Scary, Very Special Special movie marathon on the Shudder streaming service. The movies shown during that special were her own feature film Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, which she starred in back in 1988, plus House on Haunted Hill (1959), The City of the Dead (1960), and Messiah of Evil (1973).
