First teaser for Nickelodeon’s LEGO Jurassic World animated series stomps in

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Nickelodeon has set a September 14 premiere date for when the doors for their LEGO JURASSIC WORLD: LEGEND OF ISLA NUBLAR animated series will swing wide, and to celebrate, the network has unveiled the upcoming show's first teaser trailer.

The video finds JURASSIC WORLD characters Claire and Owen guiding a persnickety park reviewer, Mr. Mitchell, through one of the attraction's more docile territories. At first, the journey appears to be uneventful, but before long, a majestic brachiosarus saunters in to pluck leaves from a nearby treetop. As the critic stares in awe of the giant beast, John Williams' classic JURASSIC PARK theme begins to swell, giving the animation those real deal JURASSIC PARK feels.

Nickelodeon's LEGO JURASSIC WORLD: LEGEND OF ISLA NUBLAR is a CG-animated miniseries comprised of 13 episodes. The story takes place in 2012, three years before the events of director Colin Trevorrow's 2015 box office barn burner, JURASSIC WORLD.

Here's the official description for the series courtesy of Nickelodeon:

Newly hired animal behaviourist, Owen Grady, and Assistant Manager of Park Operations, Claire Dearing, team up on Isla Nublar to deal with everything the Jurassic World park throws their way, including runaway dinosaurs, ongoing construction to expand the park, throngs of tourists, unpredictable tropical weather and an impulsive boss! In ‘LEGO Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar,’ there’s also a mysterious saboteur with surprising ties to the park’s past who is on a quest to find a legendary treasure and destroy Jurassic World forever. What could possibly go wrong? Well… everything.

Beginning on Sunday, August 25, Nickelodeon will be giving a sneak peak at the series' "Mission Critical" episode via the Nick App and VOD, in addition to parts one and two of the prequel to the new miniseries, "LEGO JURASSIC WORLD: THE SECRET EXHIBIT.

Nickeldeon's LEGO JURASSIC WORLD: LEGEND OF ISLA NUBLAR promises to expand the Jurassic franchise like never before, by introducing new characters, dinos, and drama to the beloved brand of dino-related dynamism. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for updates about the series, which looks to be a lot of fun. Personally, I love LEGO's approach to build-a-brick action and comedy. To that point, I have no doubt that children and adults alike will be eager to return to the park when the series premieres later this year.
