Do you need some fresh Christmas horror to watch this holiday weekend? Well, the JoBlo Horror Movies YouTube channel can help you with that! We have two Christmas horror movies you can watch right now, entirely free of charge. First up is the 2020 slasher Slayed, which you can check out in the embed above. The second film is the 2022 (it was just released earlier this month!) found footage anthology The Christmas Tapes, which can be found at the bottom of this article.

Directed by Jim Klock and Mike Capozzi from a screenplay written by Klock, Slayed has the following synopsis: Five years after a Christmas-Eve massacre in Harris County, Arizona, a crazed killer returns to an impending condemned water-treatment plant to terrorize and kill again. Only this time, the lone survivor from that tragic night is waiting to make this Santa-clad monster pay for what he did.

Klock and Capozzi also star in the film alongside Coel Mahal, Kyra Kennedy, Delton Goodrum, Chuck Roberts, Jennifer Meakin, Crystal Cameron, Brittany Decatur, Christopher Fonts, and Herman Gottlieb.

The five stories that make up The Christmas Tapes all come to us from the writing and directing duo of Robert Livings and Randy Nundlall Jr. Here’s the synopsis for that one: A family’s movie night on Christmas Eve is interrupted by a stranger, insistent on making the next Christmas ‘classic’ film himself.

The film stars Greg Sestero, Dave Sheridan, Janice Angela Burt, Larry Glenn, Louise Harding, Ian Hopps, Jason Kuykendall, Dominic Laurente, Todd Lubitsch, Caleb Lush, Romulo Reyes, Lori Richardson, Joshua Rose, Ruby Setnik, Devin Valdez, and Vernon Wells. Robert Livings makes an acting appearance in the film as well.

So instead of roasting chestnuts over an open fire or whatever else those old timey Christmas songs recommend, just kick back, relax, and spend your weekend watching the horrors of Slayed and The Christmas Tapes play out on your screen. And once you’re done doing that, let us know what you thought of these free Christmas horror movies by leaving a comment below or over on YouTube. Happy horrific holidays!
