GAME OF THRONES fans have only a couple months longer before the show returns for a third season. The new episodes will be following the first half of the novel “A Storm of Swords” and will feature some major events that change the lives of all the characters.
This new teaser struck me when I first saw it as I originally thought that there was going to be a crossover between GAME OF THRONES and BOARDWALK EMPIRE, but the tagline at the end explains the method behind the video.
Season 3 will see the return of cast members including Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Michelle Fairley, Natalie Dormer, Jack Gleeson, Kit Harrington, Lena Headey, and of course Peter Dinklage. New cast members include Iwan Rheon, Ciarán Hinds, Noah Taylor, Kerry Ingram, Charlotte Hope, Clive Russell, Mackenzie Crook, Paul Kaye, and Nathalie Emmanuel.
In some sad news, GAME OF THRONES actor Wilko Johnson, who plays mute Ser Ilyn Payne, has announced that he has terminal pancreatic cancer. Johnson, while not a central character on the series, is a recognizable one. The actor and former musician in the band Dr. Feelgood will be missed greatly by fans.
GAME OF THRONES returns to HBO on March 31st.
