As far as the internet is concerned, the Jonathan Liebesman-helmed TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES has been met with wave after wave of criticism. From the director to the producer (TRANSFORMERS’ Michael Bay) to the look of the turtles to Megan Fox (I can’t stop looking at her thumbs, personally). That aside, an in-depth look at the film (clocking in at over 15 minutes) features a lot of behind the scenes action, as well as an extended look at the snowy chase scene only glimpsed in the trailer.

Take a look:

Does that do anything to sway your opinion? Despite growing up on the original TMNT cartoon, I don’t have any great love for the franchise and I’m definitely curious to check this one out. I don’t have any expectations, mind you, but I think it has the potential to be fun if the filmmakers are fully aware of the kind of film they’re making.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES will be hitting cinemas on August 8, 2014.
