Fango checks in today with news that HATCHET director Adam Green already has plans for Mr. Victor Crowley (aka Kane Hodder aka the REAL Jason Voorhees) to make a return, as well as a foray into the Wild West.

In preproduction on his comedy, GOD ONLY KNOWS, Green explains that he has brought in Jacob Forman to script DEAD WEST, his adaptation of the Rick Spears and Rob G. graphic novel. For those wondering, Jacob Forman recently dabbled in scripting ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE, which was recently picked up for distribution by The Weinstein Company. DEAD WEST, which Green says will be a true Western “that just so happens to be splattered with extremely gory horror and violence”, will not be just another zombie flick. “Just imagine one of the Leone spaghetti Westerns—if the Indians came back from the dead and can still fight as viciously and intelligently as they did in life. It’s going to be brutal.”

As for HATCHET 2, nothing’s set in stone yet, but given the amount of talk the film has gotten, don’t be surprised if we see Victor Crowley again. “When you saw HATCHET, did you happen to catch that giant 7-foot-long Redwood chainsaw sitting in Crowley’s shed? Kane [Hodder], that chainsaw and three people at the same time. We’ll see what happens.”
