Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo! trailer teases a spirited DC & Elvira crossover

Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo!, Elvira, Bill Nye

Halloween is still a few months away but boy do we have a treat for you! Warner Bros. today unveiled the first trailer for HAPPY HALLOWEEN, SCOOBY-DOO!, the latest in the studio's direct-to-video Mystery Gang franchise. As you'll come to see from the trailer posted below, the Scooby Gang's latest mystery has the group crossing over with iconic figures like Elvira, Mistress of the Dark and Bill Nye the Science Guy, as well as my favorite DC Batman villain, Scarecrow!

In addition to joining forces with Elvira and Bill Nye, Scooby and the gang will find themselves at the mercy of Jonathan Crane, aka Scarecrow, who thanks to his background in chemical warfare has devised a way to bring jack-o-lanterns to life. To make matters worse, the gruesome gourds are out for blood, and they wouldn't mind snacking on a Halloween candy-loving Great Dane and his friends either. The new animation looks to make all the magic of Halloween a part of the Scooby Gang's latest adventure while possibly changing the landscape of Crystal Cove forever!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, SCOOBY-DOO! features the voice talents of Frank Welker as Scooby-Doo/Fred Jones; Grey Griffin as Daphne Blake; Matthew Lillard as Shaggy Rogers and Kate Micucci as Velma Dinkley. The film also stars Cassandra Peterson as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, and Bill Nye as his informative, goofy self.

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for when HAPPY HALLOWEEN, SCOOBY-DOO! arrives later this year, presumably around the Halloween holiday.
