A young girl shows off a giant trap in clip from I Kill Giants

I Kill Giants Anders Walter Madison Wolfe

Director Anders Walter's I KILL GIANTS, an adaptation of the Joe Kelly / Ken Niimura graphic novel of the same name, just made its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this past Saturday. While it hasn't yet been revealed when audiences outside of the festival will get a chance to see the film, a clip has arrived online to give us a small preview of it.

I KILL GIANTS follows

Barbara Thorson (Madison Wolfe), a teenage girl who chooses to escape the realities of school and a drab family life by retreating into her own magical world of titans and giants. With the help of her new friend Sophia (Sydney Wade) and her school therapist (Zoe Saldana), Barbara learns to battle her giants and face her fears — tackling the bullies at school, her sister (Imogen Poots), and her difficult home life.

In the clip, which can be seen below, Barbara has taken a friend (presumably Sophia) out into the woods on a giant hunting trip. Sophia isn't fully convinced that giants exist yet, but Barbara has set up some traps that should definitely take them out if they do exist.

I KILL GIANTS was produced by Chris Columbus, Michael Barnathan, Kim Magnusson, Adrian Politowski, Nick Spicer, and Kyle Franke. Joe Kelly wrote the screenplay adaptation himself, so we can probably expect this film to be reasonably faithful to the source material.
