Aaron V. Williamson cast as the T-800 in Terminator: Genesis?

Fitness trainer/stuntman Aaron V. Williamson may have just spilled a big batch of beans. The buff fellow, who has worked as a fitness consultant on several movies, including G.I. JOE: RETALIATION, CAPTAIN AMERIA: THE WINTER SOLDIER and OLDBOY, let slip – via one of his social networking sites – a very interesting artist rendering of Williamson as a Terminator, with the TERMINATOR: GENESIS logo underneath. See the image below. (The image above is of Williamson and James Marsden.)

The Terminator Fans caught wind of this and asked the bodybuilder if he was playing the T-800 (the “young” version, that is) in the Alan Taylor-helmed film, and while naturally Williamson couldn’t confirm or deny his role, it seems clear that he wasn’t exactly supposed to let this artwork hit the ‘net.

Here’s Williamson’s vague (and refreshingly humble) statement to the site:

I’m not really at liberty to discuss anything w/ regard to this part. My social media followers have been following my journey since I returned to the states from Iraq, which is why I shared that photo; my desire to overcome adversity has really moved people. Where I’m at in my life right now is destiny & it’s truly a blessing. I grew up as a skinny kid watching the original Terminator & was fascinated by Arnold which is the man who inspired my career in fitness. To be a part of this production is a dream come true & a very special moment for me.”

It’s just conjecture at this point whether or not Williamson will play the T-800 – or any kind of Terminator, for that matter – but it would certainly seem that he’s a major part of the forthcoming franchise reboot. Stay tuned for more.
