Anne Rice announces new Lestat novel Blood Communion

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

It was only a few months ago that we shared with you guys the news that Anne Rice was going to be turning her famed VAMPIRE CHRONICLES into a TV series, and Bryan Fuller was going to be helping her out. Well, as the series gets worked out over the next year or so, Rice has stepped back into writing Lestat books and just today we have confirmation that her first new Lestat novel is called Blood Communion and will be hitting this October.

This news comes to us straight from Anne Rice herself over on Facebook who broke the news telling fans that:

Blood Communion, my new novel of Lestat, will be released on October 2nd, two days before my birthday… This is a story Lestat tells in his own intimate way from start to finish… My publisher surprised me by posting it on Amazon. I do not think this is the permanent cover, but I honestly don’t know. Anyway, it’s up there already for pre-order. I finished it last year. I have two more novels in the works now.

Two more novels in the works? Damn, Rice is prolific! Personally, I haven't read any of Rice's novels yet, but I have (of course) seen INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE and if the new novel, or the TV series for that matter, are anything like the movie, then I'm sure I will dig the hell out of them. How excited are you for a new Lestat book from Anne Rice? Make sure to hit us up and let us know in the comments below or on social media!

Anne Rice's BLOOD COMMUNION hits October 2nd.
