Big Bang Theory actor joins Zac Efron in Ted Bundy flick

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Truth be told, I don't watch "Big Bang Theory." Not one episode. Not ever. But I do know actor Jim Parsons. He was in GARDEN STATE. Plus he does a voice in the animated film HOME, which my nephew watches on repeat.

Anyhow, it looks like the nerdy dude has just officially joined the cast of director Joe Berlinger's upcoming Ted Bundy film EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY EVIL AND VILE.

THR is reporting that Parsons will portray "Larry Simpson, the lead prosecutor of the 1979 Miami trial that finally convicted Bundy." Parsons will be joining the cast which already includes Zac Efron John Malkovich, Lily Collins, Jeffrey Donovan, Grace Victoria Cox, and the recently announced Kaya Scodelario.

Synopsis:

Told through the perspective of Elizabeth Kloepfer, Bundy's longtime girlfriend who went years denying the accusations against Bundy, but ultimately turned him into the police. Only nearing his execution, when Bundy began talking about his extensive and heinous murders, did Kloepfer, and the rest of the world, learn the true scope of his numerous and grizzly murders.

EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY EVIL AND VILE is directed by Joe Berlinger from a script by Michael Werwie and stars John Malkovich, Lily Collins, Kaya Scodelario, Angela Sarafyan, Jeffrey Donovan, Jim Parsons, and Zac Efron as Ted Bundy.

The movie is currently shooting in Covington, Kentucky.

Huh. Fancy that.
