‘Twas back in October when we last got an update on PLAYBACK, Michael A. Nickles’ supernatural horror film. At the time, indie distributor Magnet Releasing had acquired the thriller; now the time has come for an official trailer. (Incidentally, not all that different from the original promo trailer unveiled last June.)
PLAYBACK doesn’t scream “must watch” to this writer, but Magnet’s track record is quite good, so consider this one to keep an eye on.
The synopsis: While digging into their town’s infamous past, a group of high school students unwittingly unlock an even darker secret. Now, an evil spirit has been awakened and will stop at nothing to find his true heir.
Starring Christian Slater, Ambyr Childers, Toby Hemingway, Jonathan Keltz, Jennifer Missoni, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, Johnny Pacar and Alessandra Torresani, PLAYBACK hits iTunes on FEBRUARY 3rd on its way to a limited theatrical release beginning on MARCH 9th.
