Cutie Brittany Curran is the latest to join Marcus Nispel’s Backmask

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

A couple weeks ago I was right here telling you all about the latest addition to Marcus Nispel’s long-awaited genre romp BACKMASK. To go right along with that, today we’ve got more casting news for the flick courtesy of DailyDead!

According to the site, Brittany Curran is the latest name to join the project. Curran (below) has been cast as ‘Reign,’ the lead female role. She was most recently in CAPTURED and has appeared on TV shows such as “Men of a Certain Age” and “Ghost Whisperer.”

During a sex, drugs, and rock-fueled party, six small-town teenagers find an old vinyl record and decide to play it backwards in order to listen for any subliminal/satanic messages. Lo and behold, a seemingly malevolent spirit quickly infiltrates the group, wreaking havoc as it moves from one body to another. Eventually, however, it’s revealed that the spirit in question is actually trying to convey a message… and that the real source of horror isn’t particularly paranormal, but rather something (or someone) much closer to home.

The young actress joins the previously cast Gage Golightly in the film, which is set to start filming this month in Rhode Island. As always as soon as more details spill our way regarding BACKMASK we’ll be right here to tell you about them.
