Entertainment Weekly offers up new shots of horror projects 7500 & ABC's "The River"

Well ladies and gents today instead of being boring and bringing you all one new still I've decided to live dangerously and show you all a pair of new shots from a couple upcoming genre projects. Actually Entertainment Weekly are the ones with new looks at 7500 and "The River," I'm just the middle man.

First up if you scroll above you'll find the first still from Takashi Shimizu's airplane thriller 7500. While the still itself is kind of boring we can definitely be intrigued by the group's reaction from the shot. What are they so terrified of? I can't wait to find out! Starring Leslie Bibb, Ryan Kwanten, Amy Smart, Jerry Ferrara, Jamie Chung, Scout Taylor Compton, Nicky Whelan, Aja Evans, Rick Kelly, Johnathon Schaech, Alex Frost and Christian Serratos, 7500's rundown reads: After a passenger mysteriously dies on Flight 7500, those remaining on board begin experiencing frightening supernatural phenomena and are left to wonder if they’re next. It's set to hit theaters sometime this August

Next up if you scroll on down directly below you'll find the latest shot from ABC's upcoming genre romp "The River," which is due to kick-off in just a couple weeks on February 7th. This new shot features a few of our stars in some deep water... literally! Just scroll on down below for a look at the goods. With the pilot coming from director Jaume Collet-Serra, "The River" stars Scott Michael Foster, Bruce Greenwood, Joe Anderson, Paul Blackthorne, Eloise Mumford, Paulina Gaitan, Daniel Zacapa, Katie Featherston and Thomas Kretschmann. It's rundown reads: "The River" is set in motion when: Famed explorer Dr. Emmet Cole went looking for magic deep in the uncharted Amazon and never returned. Now, the shocking truth about his disappearance is out there, somewhere, just waiting to be discovered. To the millions of kids who grew up watching his nature show, Dr. Cole was a hero. To his own son Lincoln, he was more of an enigma. Now, six months after he vanished, Lincoln is finally ready to bury the past when Dr. Cole's cagey ex-producer Clark film the mission documentary-style. The mixed crew of old friends and new acquaintances includes the sexy and resourceful Lena, loyal mechanic Emilio and lethal bodyguard Captain Kurt Brynildson.

Once they find The Magus, the real adventure begins. In the search for Dr. Cole, they will encounter a scary new mystery each week, while struggling with their own personal jealousies, insecurities, secrets and desires. As they venture further into the Amazon, away from the world they know, the crew of The Magus will discover a place where one bad decision can be fatal, and where powerful magic is as real as science.

So there you have it folks! A nice juicy update on not one, but two upcoming genre projects. As always we'll be on the lookout for more news regarding both 7500 and "The River" so be sure to check back soon for any other updates that might spill our way.

Extra Tidbit: Not only was Nicky Whelan (above) in Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN II, but she recently went topless in the raunchy comedy HALL PASS.
