Halle Berry officially set to star in Brad Anderson’s The Hive

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

It has been rumored for several months, but it appears to be a done deal: Halle Berry will star in Troika Pictures’ serial killer thriller THE HIVE.

The film is being directed by Brad Anderson (THE MACHINIST), who replaced original helmer Joel Schumacher. Berry’s name first came up when Schumacher was still involved, but it looks as though she’s stuck with the project despite the director switcheroo.

Written by Richard D’Ovidio, THE HIVE is set against the backdrop of a 911 emergency center, as a 911 operator must face her own fears in order to save a teenage girl from a serial killer.

Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions has domestic rights, with foreign sales being handled by Sierra/Affinity. Production will start in late June in Los Angeles.
