James McAvoy is a monster maker in Victor Frankenstein trailers and poster

20th Century Fox is bringing a "dynamic and thrilling twist" on the Frankenstein legend to the big screen with VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN, which is set for release on November 25th, 2015. (That's the day before Thanksgiving in the U.S.) To whet our appetites for the film, which was directed by Paul McGuigan from a screenplay by Max Landis, the studio has unveiled the poster and released two versions of the trailer. One trailer plays up the comedic moments, while the other, the UK trailer, invites you to break on through to the other side.

Starring James McAvoy, Daniel Radcliffe, Jessica Brown Findlay, Andrew Scott, and Freddie Fox, VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN has the following synopsis:

Radical scientist Victor Frankenstein (McAvoy) and his equally brilliant protégé Igor Strausman (Radcliffe) share a noble vision of aiding humanity through their groundbreaking research into immortality. But Victor’s experiments go too far, and his obsession has horrifying consequences.  Only Igor can bring his friend back from the brink of madness and save him from his monstrous creation.

I don't know how much excitement the general audience may muster up for another telling of the Frankenstein story, even one that stars Professor X and Harry Potter, but this looks very entertaining to me.
