LEATHERFACE, the film that will serve as a prequel to both 2013's TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D and the 1974 classic THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, was filmed last year and the distribution rights are in the hands of Lionsgate, so we should be hearing release plans any day now. As we anxiously await the details on when we'll be able to see what INSIDE directors Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury have done with the titular chainsaw-wielding slasher icon, producer Christa Campbell has, as she has done in the past, given fans something to chew on by posting an image from the film on her Instagram account.

In this image, shared below, we see a character sitting in a restaurant that proudly serves ribs and chicken. A fitting location for a meat-obsessed franchise such as this. Of course, animals aren't Leatherface's preferred source of meat, but I suppose they'll do in a pinch.

Written by Seth M. Sherwood, LEATHERFACE tells what happens when

a young nurse is kidnapped by a group of violent teens who escape from a mental hospital and take her on a road trip from hell. Pursued by an equally deranged lawman out for revenge, one of these teens is destined for tragedy and horrors that will destroy his mind, molding him into the monster we now call Leatherface.

Vanessa Grasse, Sam Strike, James Bloor, Sam Coleman, Jessica Madsen, Lilli Taylor, Stephen Dorff, and Finn Jones star.
