I suppose it was just a matter of time. In a world filled with reboots and remakes one flick I didn’t think would be affected was Mark Jones’ 1993 genre romp LEPRECHAUN. But alas not even that little green bastard is safe from the remake machine…
But WWE Studios? That’s right folks. Variety are reporting today that Lionsgate have made a pact with WWE Studios to move forward with this LEPRECHAUN remake. This is part of a two-film deal with the other film yet to be announced.
Regardless of having no script, writer, director or cast the LEPRECHAUN reboot has already been tapped with a 2013 release date. That’s next year people… I’m guessing the quality of this one won’t be anything to brag about. Then again we are talking about a LEPRECHAUN reboot here…
