Morbius: Marvel vampire flick moves release date back

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Deadline reports that the upcoming Jared Leto-led Morbius solo film – based on the vampire-themed Spider-Man villain – has moved its release date back a week from January 21, 2022 to January 28, 2022. So mark your calendars, I guess, if you were somehow clamouring for a fucking Morbius film starring the lead singer from 30 Seconds to Mars.

Anyway, here's the official synopsis:

Biochemist Michael Morbius tries to cure himself of a rare blood disease, but he inadvertently infects himself with a form of vampirism instead. Though disgusted by his own bloodlust, he chooses to prey upon criminals he deems unworthy of life.

Meanwhile, Moribus is directed by Daniel Espinosa (Life, ironically thought to have been a Venom prequel at one point) and stars Jared Leto, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, J.K. Simmons, Matt Smith, and Tyrese Gibson.

So what do you guys think? Fans of the character? If so, looking forward to his upcoming solo film? Either way, sound off below!
