Netflix’s cops and orcs film Bright gets one last trailer

Bright David Ayer Joel Edgerton Will Smith

In just ten days, the David Ayer-directed, Max Landis-scripted fantasy genre / buddy cop mash-up BRIGHT will be available for viewing on Netflix. Netflix bought Landis's script for $3 million and paid a total of $90 million to get the film made and released, so this one is a big deal for the streaming service. With the release date quickly approaching, they have released the final trailer for the movie, giving us one last early glimpse at its unique world.

Following two cops "from very different backgrounds", BRIGHT is set in an

alternate present-day where humans, orcs, elves and fairies have been coexisting since the beginning of time. Ward, a human (Will Smith), and Jakoby, an orc (Joel Edgerton), embark on a routine night patrol that will alter the future of their world as they know it. Battling both their own personal differences as well as an onslaught of enemies, they must work together to protect a young female elf and a thought-to-be-forgotten relic, which in the wrong hands could destroy everything.

Smith and Edgerton are joined in the cast by Noomi Rapace, Lucy Fry, Edgar Ramirez, Ike Barinholtz, Enrique Murciano, Jay Hernandez, Andrea Navedo, Veronica Ngo, Alex Meraz, Margaret Cho, Brad William Henke, Dawn Olivieri, and Kenneth Choi.

The new and final trailer can be seen below. The film appears to be a fun and action-packed mixture of styles, so I'll be checking it out when it hits Netflix on December 22nd.
