Burning its way onto DVD and Blu-ray August 23rd is SUPER HYBRID, Eric Valette’s tale of vehicular manslaughter. Intentional vehicular manslaughter!

As such, we’ve got a nifty new clip and behind-the-scenes look at the film (courtesy of Anchor Bay). In the first clip, titled “Some Paint Job”, watch the cast of doe-eyed innocents vet the killer car…with reverse shots showing the POV of the supercharged killing machine.

In the second, shorter clip, you’ll meet the cars of SUPER HYBRID. Production designer Tom Valentine explains some of the thinking behind the look of each car and how it was important to create a difference between them. A Nova, a Charger, a Corvette and a pickup truck.

Late one night, a mysterious car is brought into the Chicago police impound garage after a deadly traffic accident. The on-call mechanics soon discover the car has a mind of its own. With hundreds of horsepower and two tons of reinforced steel at its command, it’s a seemingly unstoppable killing machine capable of outrunning — and outwitting — humans.

Shannon Beckner, Oded Fehr, Ryan Kennedy, Melanie Papalia (below), Adrian Dorval, Duncan Fisher, Josh Strait, Tim McGrath and Kent Nolan all star in the film.
