New stills from The Hunger Games gives us some Tucci and Lawrence action

Yes, another day, another HUNGER GAMES still. You’re seeing the entire movie via still photographs at this point.

This new one gives us a decent look at Stanley Tucci’s Caesar Flickerman, who stands beside Jennifer Lawrence’s less-than-thrilled Katniss. In addition, we have a picture of Katniss (below), which looks like it’s taken from the story’s lottery sequence.

If you’re wondering about the character Tucci is playing, here’s a nice little description:
Caesar Flickerman is utterly familiar to all the citizens of Panem as the host of the Hunger Games. Known for his outrageous appearance and buoyant personality, his upbeat interviews of the 24 tributes – a boy and a girl from each of the country’s 12 districts – are presented on every television in the nation. He is famous for turning any conversation around to the positive and finding humor in even the most dire circumstances.

All I know is, Tucci scares me in this get up. Perhaps he’ll scare you too when THE HUNGER GAMES comes out on MARCH 23rd.

Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the evil Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. A twisted punishment for a past uprising and an ongoing government intimidation tactic, The Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which “Tributes” must fight with one another until one survivor remains.

Pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy. If she’s ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.
