Back in December we brought you the first epic trailer for the earthquake thriller SAN ANDREAS, which stars Dwayne Johnson, Alexandra Daddario, Carla Gugino, and Paul Giamatti, and today we're all shook up over a new trailer and a ground-shaking new poster, which you can peep below.
Like our own Eric Walkuski, I'm a sucker for disaster films and this one looks insanely fun. I can't believe Roland Emmerich isn't behind this one since he loves to destroy cities (and the world) ala THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW and 2012. Plus SAN ANDREAS has The Rock leading its cast. That dude is badass.
After the infamous San Andreas Fault finally gives, triggering a magnitude 9 earthquake in California, a search and rescue helicopter pilot (Dwayne Johnson) and his estranged wife make their way together from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save their only daughter. But their treacherous journey north is only the beginning. And when they think the worst may be over…it’s just getting started.
SAN ANDREAS was directed by Brad Peyton (JOURNEY 2 THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND) and penned by Carlton Cuse ("Lost") and Andre Fabrizio & Jeremy Passmore. It opens May 29, 2015.
