Nicolas Cage faces unexplained events in thriller Looking Glass

Nicolas Cage

Nicolas Cage is a very busy man, and I always enjoy it when his workaholic ways lead him toward the horror genre or darker material in general. His latest project sounds promising in that regard – he has just signed on to star in the independent thriller LOOKING GLASS, which is expected to start filming this fall.

Dori Oskowitz, who has directed various commerical campaigns and music videos for the likes of Jack White, Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, Wiz Khalifa, Lenny Kravitz, and many more, will be making his feature directorial debut with LOOKING GLASS, working from a screenplay by Jerry Rapp and Matthew Wilder.

Described as a "remarkable story of voyeurism and grief", the story centers on

a couple who, after experiencing a tragic loss, purchases a desert motel only to discover a series of disturbing, unexplained events that take place within one of the frequently requested rooms.

Braxton Pope is producing, in association with Prettybird Pictures. Arianne Fraser, Delphine Perrier, Cameron Jones, Jason Miller, and Mike Nilon serve as executive producers.

I look forward to seeing how Cage's character will handle these disturbing unexplained events, and to finding out exactly what they are. I have to assume that LOOKING GLASS won't be going into THE SHINING territory, although it would be stunning to watch Cage go full Jack Torrance.
